I have worked on and off behind the camera for over four decades, having started an interest in photography in my pre-teen years. Classically trained as an artist since before my memories, I started with drawing and painting any subject and, by early high school, I developed a passion for portraiture, taking commissions from my family and friends. Studying art and mass media through the college years, I took off in many directions, always finding that keeping a good camera by my side was a personal necessity. In the early 1980's I developed a massive photographic project, traveling the backroads of Texas in all my spare time to artistically document fading and disappearing small towns. A few years later, I entered the business work of photography, working for real estate developers as Agency Photographics, and, later, Ron Cline Photographics. In 1997, RCLINEPhotography was born, was soon digitalized, and this became my total outlet for all my pursuits in the imaging world...landscape/nature, architecture, Americana, people and events, and portraiture. Taking portraits has always been one of my favorite areas and it has never ceased to engage me, maintain my interest, and provide a challenging platform for the growth and development of my art and business. Although I still shoot my favorite subject areas, as can be seen on my website, I have, for the past decade, developed my abilities in professional portraiture. Today, I use a number of styles and approaches and cover most of the portrait subject areas including individuals, groups, small and large, families, business/corporate, headshots, wedding, children, seniors, pets, and more. I also pursue fine art portraiture which I place in galleries and exhibitions.
My areas of work in photography can be seen on my website along with samples of some of my standard portraiture drawn form past clients.
Thank you for visiting my work and I look forward to hearing from you.
